CABLEMASTER - EXTEND OR RETRACT 30-200 AMP SHORE POWER CABLE EASILY, JUST FLIP THE SWITCH!

The Glendinning Cablemaster was developed to automatically extend, retract, and store your boat's shore power cable. The Cablemaster has a number of features that make it an essential part of today's well-equipped yacht.

  • Eliminates heavy lifting - the Cablemaster significantly reduces the effort required to extend, retract, and store your 30-200 amp shore power cable with powered extension and retraction.
  • No slip rings or brushes - unlike industrial reels, our system does not carry shore power through slip rings or brushes, which may be susceptible to moisture and corrosion in the marine environment. There is no chance of poor electrical connections creating a "hot spot", low voltage, or possible fire hazard because the shore power cable is hard-wired into the boat.
  • Unlimited storage capacity - the Cablemaster can handle any length of cable and is limited only by the amount of cable storage area provided within your vessel.
  • Relocate power cable storage - allows you to store the power cable in storage areas otherwise inaccessible, freeing up valuable deck storage space for other uses.

There are 3 different models to choose from:

  • CM-4 Cablemaster for 30amp or TV/telephone cable (up to .80" diameter)
  • CM-7 Cablemaster for 50 amp shore power cable (up to 1.25" diameter)
  • CM-8 Cablemaster for 100+ amp shore power cable (up to 1.625" diameter)

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Basic Cablemaster Unit

The basic Cablemaster consist of:

1) Power Unit - the Power Unit provides the base and consists of the chassis, gears, rollers, and motor. Optional installation accessories are often attached to the power unit to aid in difficult installation locations.

2) Stainless Steel Hawse Pipe - the Hawse Pipe is the visible conduit through which the shore power cable travels for access on deck.

3) Limit Switches (In / Out) - the Limit Switches "limit" the length of travel of the shore power cable in either direction (in/out).

When installed properly, each Cablemaster unit will extend and retract your boat's shore power cable and store it in the storage area that the installer has designated. The Cablemaster does not require any storage container - the shore power cable can "free-fall" into any void space that can handle the amount of cable. Typically the Cablemaster can handle up to 75 ft. of shore power cable. Optional storage containers are available through Glendinning to aid in the asthetic look of your storage area.
