PRO-X CONTROL CABLES™

HIGH-QUALITY DESIGN / HIGH-PERFORMANCE OPERATION

All control cables are NOT created equal.

While many people "make do" with the "same old, same old" push-pull mechanical cable they have always used (and their ancestors before them), well-informed buyers know that an enormous in control cable performance and operation can be gained by using a "high performance" push-pull mechanical cable.

A "high performance" mechanical control cable offers superior performance to standard cables in several ways:

  • Higher efficiency - "High performance" control cables have a higher efficiency - they are simply easier to use when moving a load.

  • Minimal "lost motion" - "High performance" control cables are much more precise - they have less "slop" or "lost motion" in transmitting a mechanical movement.

  • Minimal "stiction" (starting friction) - "High performance" control cables are much easier to start moving.

  • High quality cable end fittings - "High performance" control cables are fitted with stainless steel or plated brass end fittings.

GLENDINNING High-performance Pro-X cables offer
  • MAXIMUM performance
  • MAXIMUM reliability
  • MAXIMUM flexibilty
.....and have the following construction:
  • Armored core - A core which is very stiff while very having a great deal of flexibilty is the heart of the Pro-X cable, providing minimal lost motion with high efficiency.

  • Liner - TThe high density polyethylene liner is precision extruded to provide a smooth and slippery surface, with a low coefficient of friction, for the core to slip easily through the conduit

  • Long lay reinforcing wires - these "oil tempered" wires provide reinforcement for the liner, allowing the cable to handle heavy loads.

  • Polyethylene outer jacket - the abrasion resistant polyethylene covering protects the reinforcing wires from corrosion.
  • Protective Seals - maintain flexibility and function at low temperatures.

GLENDINNING offers the following types of push-pull control cables:
