All control cables are NOT created equal. A good control cable is judged by it's performance, reliability, and flexibility. Control cables traditionally will yield one of two possible results:
- Stiffer movement of cable - this results from a stiffer core / tighter fit which produces less loss motion, but at the expense of it being more difficult to move (especially in difficult installation applications).
- Sloppy movement of cable - a more flexible core / looser fit cable is easier to move, but increases unwanted sloppy feel.
